It looks like most festivals are returning, aside from those that were killed off by the lockdowns of the past 2 years. That took a heavy toll on their finances. I am checking with them day by day, if you have an update for an, please tell me via the Feedback form.

Kentucky 2024 Strawberry Festivals - Where, When and More Details!

There are two general types of strawberry festivals 1) community festivals, usually organized by a church, school, local Chamber of commerce or a town and 2). Strawberry festival held at and by a farm

They are different in what they offer, so they are grouped separately. (of course not all states and areas have both. And following the festival listings are links to our easy to follow directions about making strawberry jam, freezing strawberries, strawberry pies and much more. 

Community Strawberry Festivals

  • Adairville Annual Strawberry Festivall  - over 70 years running, held each year for the third weekend in May ( beginning May 19, 2022 to Saturday typically in late May)
    Adairville , KY 42202. Phone: 270-772-2175. Email: dblake@logantele.com. 72nd Annual Adairville Strawberry Festival .The Strawberry Festival features a special guest to ride at the head of the parade, bands, floats, beauty queens, area officials, clowns and much more fun stuff for the big and little kids. As the parade winds around the center of town, the aroma of great food fills the morning air. As you look at the park, one will see a glimpse of small town America with families having fun and little ones with ice cream on their chins. Each and all are excited about the days event and a chance to get out and have a fun day. The Strawberry Festival began in 1947 and is one of the longest continually running festivals in the state. The money raised has helped in purchasing fire trucks, playground equipment, beautification of the downtown park square and many other things. It is organized by the Adairville South Logan Chamber of Commerce members and volunteers.
  • Beaver Dam Strawberry Festival - over 20 years running, held each year during Memorial Day weekend
    Downtown, Beaver Dam, KY. The Strawberry Festival is held each year during Memorial Day weekend. The festival consists of several activities such as: beauty pageants, car show, tractor show, motorcycle show, 5k run, arts & crafts, vendors, hot dog eating contest, carnival rides, Native American cooking, gospel singing, quilt show, pet show, Veterans Program, parade and much more.  Come celebrate the Annual Strawberry Festival in downtown Beaver Dam. Enjoy music, rides, food, pageants and this year Sharks! This year there will be a realistic T-REX walking and roaring through the Strawberry Festival crowd. He stands 8' tall and 14' in length, scaled to detail and anatomically perfect by master creators. "Buster the T-Rex" expects to draw huge crowds as his paleontologist "Indiana Jones" style handler brings "Buster" to town and strolls around for interaction with festival goers and photos with families!In addition to meeting "Buster," festival goers will also have the opportunity to visit a most unique mobile prehistoric walk through dinosaur museum. The Prehistoric Dinosaur Fossil Museum will be open daily during the festival. Recreated as a smaller scale version of the Smithsonian's mobile museums, the museum will give attendees a great opportunity to see a mixture of fossils and skeletons up-close and personal. The museum offers historical facts, pictures, fossils and multi-media affects. The museum is a must-see for any dinosaur loving kid or kid-at-heart and hosts nearly 1 million pair of feet each year in all areas of the US!
  • Woodburn Days Strawberry Festival - I'm trying to find out if this festival is still being held
    600 Woodburn Allen Springs Road, Woodburn, Kentucky 42170. Phone: (270) 529-5221.  The event along Main Street in downtown Woodburn begins at 8 a.m. on Friday and Saturdays and features antiques, collectibles, crafts, strawberries, barbeque and more. The communities of Woodburn and Smiths Grove shipped more strawberries than any other place in the country during the early 1900's. The Woodburn Strawberry Festival celebrates this heritage and the spirit of the community.
    Admission and vendor setup are both free.

In addition to community and church festivals, some private farms have their own strawberry festivals in June.  See each farm for this year's dates (they often do not announce them until the end of May).
