It looks like most festivals are returning, aside from those that were killed off by the lockdowns of the past 2 years. That took a heavy toll on their finances. I am checking with them day by day, if you have an update for an, please tell me via the Feedback form.

South Carolina 2024 Strawberry Festivals - Where, When and More Details!

There are two general types of strawberry festivals 1) community festivals, usually organized by a church, school, local Chamber of commerce or a town and 2). Strawberry festival held at and by a farm

They are different in what they offer, so they are grouped separately. (of course not all states and areas have both. And following the festival listings are links to our easy to follow directions about making strawberry jam, freezing strawberries, strawberry pies and much more. 

Community Strawberry Festivals

  • Lowcountry Strawberry Festival - Saturday and Sunday one weekend in April  (April 8, 2022 through April 16, 2022), from 12 pm to 6 p.m.  (check their website for other year's dates)

Boone Hall Plantation is proud to present one of the premier special events held in South Carolina Lowcountry in the spring. The Lowcountry Strawberry Festival returns to Boone Hall Plantation and Boone Hall Farms. This event has been a spring tradition since 1997. After taking 2020 off due to the pandemic, we're excited to "Bring Back The Fun" to this popular spring festival presented at Boone Hall. Festival Rides are open all hours of the event both day and at night. The Family Attractions portion of the event is open during event daytime hours and offers a number of family friendly attractions, acrobatic dogs, a petting zoo, and more. U-Pick strawberries will only be available a limited number of hours during the time the festival is open. INCLUDED WITH ADMISSION are: Access to the Family Festival side of the event which features a petting zoo, acrobatic dog shows, pig and duck races, a three-story slide tower, two giant jump pillows, playground area, contests, live entertainment, vendor exhibits, access to the festival ride side of the event, free parking, and more. Tractor rides to the u-pick strawberry fields also included during designated u-pick hours as long as berries are available. Tickets for Festival Rides must be purchased separately from admission.

  • Mead Hall Annual Strawberry Festival - one Saturday in April (Saturday typically in late April) from 10 am to 2 pm

  • North Augusta Our Lady of Peace Catholic School Strawberry Festival - usually the last Saturday in April, but check on their Facebook page (there were some years it was cancelled)

Our Strawberry Festival will have children's games, inflatables, hamburgers and hotdogs, Hispanic food, silent auction, bake sale, crafters, a 3v3 soccer tournament, and fresh berries from Gurosik's Berry Farm.   • Slater Strawberry Festival - early-May - (from 10 am to 4 pm) - (May 4, 2019) call for this year's dates NOT BEING HELD IN 2022, with no explanation on their page as to why it is not being held

Food, craft vendors, games, a free area for kids and The Strawberry Pageant for kids age 10 and under.  A pancake breakfast will be held prior to the festival from 7:30-10am. The annual Strawberry Festival will be feature Georgia's Tea Room serving homemade strawberry shortcake, storyteller, magic shows, beach music, Sweet Potato Pie (band), Carolina Senior Concert Band, and, of course, good ole' family entertainment.   • South Carolina Strawberry Festival - late April / early May,  (check their website for other year's dates; in 2022: THE FESTIVAL IS PRECEDED BY A WEEK OF EVENTS, FRIDAY, APRIL 29-THURSDAY, MAY 5 WITH THE 13TH ANNUAL FESTIVAL TAKING PLACE ON FRIDAY-SATURDAY, MAY 6 & 7, 2022!
    Elisha Park, 345 N. White Street, Fort Mill, SC 29715. Phone: (803) 547-2116. Email: info@scstrawberryfestival.com Directions: the Festival will be held at Walter Y. Elisha Park, located at the intersection of N. White Street (SC Hwy 160) and Old Nation Road (US 21) in Fort Mill. Elisha Park is located 1.5 miles east of Interstate 77 (Exit 85). The event kicks off with a gold tournament at Springfield Golf Club on Wednesday, May 4th, followed by the Strawberry Festival Pageant on Thursday, May 5th. The festival continues on May 6th and 7th with live entertainment (The Strawberry Jam), arts and crafts, food vendors, fireworks, a strawberry recipe contest, strawberry pie and ice cream eating contests, kids rides and activities, an antique car show, and fun for the entire family. Parking is $5 with FREE shuttle transportation, Admission is free. 

Farm Strawberry Festivals

In addition to community and church festivals, some private farms have their own strawberry festivals in June.  See each farm for this year's dates (they often do not announce them until the end of May).   • McLeod Farms Strawberry Festival - Saturday, early May; check their website on May 1st; as of April 25, they stiull haven't published the date.
